The short version: we only collect what you send us, we only use it to answer you, and we never sell it. The details are below.
Who we are
alberolabs is a design and web studio based in Montréal, Québec, run by Gabriel Alberola. Gabriel is also the person in charge of protecting your personal information. For anything about your data, write to him at hey@alberolabs.com.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us. Through the contact form: your name, your email address, your message and, if you pick one, what it’s about. We also note which button on the site brought you to the form (a pricing plan, for example), so we know what you were looking at. If you email us directly, we get whatever you put in that email. There are no accounts, newsletters or payments on this site.
Why we collect it
To answer you. If we end up working together, we use the same details to run that project with you. We never sell or rent your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
A few service providers help us run the site, and your information passes through them: Vercel, which hosts the site; Resend, which delivers the form’s messages to our inbox; and our email provider, where those messages are kept. These companies are based in the United States, so your information is stored and processed outside Québec. We only use providers that commit to protecting personal information and to using it solely to provide their service to us.
Analytics and cookies
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you: we see how many people visited a page and roughly where they came from, never who they are. The site remembers two preferences in your browser: your language (a cookie named alb-lang) and, if you turn it on, reduced motion (stored as alb-reduce-motion). Neither is used to track you.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it to answer you. If we work together, for as long as that relationship lasts, plus the time the law requires us to keep business records. Otherwise, we delete enquiries within two years of our last exchange.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hey@alberolabs.comand we’ll answer within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
If something goes wrong
If a confidentiality incident puts your information at risk of serious harm, we’ll tell you and the Commission d’accès à l’information, as the law requires, and keep a record of it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
